In order to demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations the fire safety of a building should, if at all complex in nature, have a documented and illustrated Fire Safety Strategy.  This document in the UK is required under Regulation 38 of the Building Regulations as part of the O&M manual for the eventual occupier/manager of the building.

 

A Fire Safety Strategy primarily covers the provisions intended to promote the protection of life of the building occupants and visitors but may also include measures provided for asset and property protection as well as operational continuity.

 

Each building is different in some way and the Fire Safety Strategy is a vital piece of information specific to that building.
